Worst Meal Ever

Worst Meal Ever
If I had the worst meal at a party it would be…

A cake that rabbits make and a cookie surprise with carrots and grapes. Not such a prize. A pizza with cherries and a Friday surprise, which is a muffin with a filling that will burn my eyes. A brownie with a frowny, which is not fun. All this makes me wish I did not take my aunt’s fun.

Hi! My name is Shivansh Patel and I am here to talk about basketball. On 02/11/13, the Chicago Bulls played the San Antonio Spurs. The score was 103-89 Spurs scored 103 Bulls scored 89. The Bulls got 19 turnovers and the Spurs turned it into 29 points.   Joakim Noah got 15 rebounds though he had a right foot injury. The Spurs still won without their 3 star players. San Antonio was in the lead by 14 3 times in the 3rd quarter, but Nate Robinson led the Bulls back. If you want more facts, go to www.espn.com.

Hi my name is Shivansh Patel and I am here to talk about the casual restaurant Panera Bread. On my first visit, the moment I walked in I smelled the aroma of the delicacies. I had mac and cheese, yogurt and a chocolate chip cookie. The Mac and Cheese was warm, soft and very tasty. The chocolate chip cookie was both chewy and crunchy at the same time. They had artisan pastries, brownies, cookies, cakes, muffins and scones as desserts. There were also freshly baked bread, egg soufflés, bagels, spreads and some breakfast sandwiches. The whole place was amazingly kid friendly and the food was delicious! You must go and eat there. It’s the best! I give this restaurant five out of five stars.

The Adventures of Robo

In another planet where robots were in charge there was one named Robo. One of his hands had four fingers while the other was a light up blaster. He had torpedoes on his shoulders. His feet and head had lasers, and on his back he had an upgrade that made him the fastest, strongest and the most intelligent fighter who was best at flying.
One day he had a mission to go under water to find a key and take it to a secret cave to open a treasure chest. He did not know how to swim or search caves. The treasure was in the cave. When he dived in the water he found a sunken ship with holes. Robo moaned, “What should I do?” When he looked back, he was lost in the deep ocean! The only thing he could do is go in the ship. When he was in, it was the darkest place ever. He had to use his blaster, but if he did that he would be trapped in the ship. The next thing he realizes was that he was trapped because he had accidentally used his blaster!
The ship started squeaking and he was wobbling. He tripped over a board and fell on something sharp and crooked. He pulled it out and it was a key. Robo swam as quickly as he could to the surface. He found an island with one deep cave. “Could this be the cave?” Robo thought. “This key might have something to do with the cave.” The key was glowing. It started glowing brighter and brighter. Robo got really scared. “Ummm”, said Robo.
He tried to go in the cave. There he saw green eyes. It seemed as if they were approaching him. All of a sudden a giant crab landed on his shoulders. Robo blasted his shoulder rockets at the crab. Afraid, the crab crawled back to the sea. Now Robo ran faster than ever. He found a glowing chest. He got closer to the chest.
Suddenly, Robot warriors came and ambushed him. He used his weapons and attacked them. They attacked and they battled for hours. Once Robo defeated the bad bots he was pretty banged up. Robo walked to the glowing chest and found a lock and opened it with the key. Inside was solid gold! Robo took the chest and went back home. He lived happily ever after.

Vinegar Balloon Experiment

My Mom gave me a bottle of vinegar. I took Ishu's balloon and put a little baking soda in it.Then, I put the balloon on the mouth of the bottle and pushed it up straight so all the baking soda drops in the vinegar. The balloon started blowing up. It only blew up a quarter of the full length because there was not a lot of vinegar in the bottle. Then, I put water in it and a little more baking soda and a tiny bit salt, but it flopped down. Since the vinegar is acid and I put baking soda in it, it makes gas. So, when there is too much, it tries to escape. Then, it goes in the balloon and inflates it. I wonder if I am ever going to do it again?

diffrent things at school

I think that spring break and winter break should be longer like summer break.

you should be able to sit where ever you want in the lunch room.
you should not share food ever because some one might be allergic to what you have.

I am a Teacher!

I am going to give my Mom some lessons on roller blading and piano. Each class costs $0.10, but the first one is free. If she wants, she can take me out for some ice cream, give me fanta slushies, brownies or two candies instead. I hope she doesn't fall and I hope I learn how to go faster soon even though I can already go fast.

Going to the Beach!

This story is dedicated to my family.

One sunny, summer day my brother, my Dad, my Kaka and me decided to go to the beach! My brother and I jumped out of the bed and quickly got ready. When we got there, my brother found my cousins. After I found them we went to the water. The sand in the water took me back to the shore. It was pushing me and my Dad. So, we had a push back to shore. We changed clothes when we got very wet. We stopped when my brother and I did not know that we had spare clothes. We stayed there till evening. I was really happy that we got to stay at the beach because we had never ever been to the beach. We were so happy that we could have blown up! When we came back, we were exhausted.

A Series of Unfortunate Events Book 1 - The Bad Beginning

I am very happy because I have graduated from the Magic Tree House series and Mrs. W thinks that I should read something higher. My brother has been reading The Series of Unfortunate Events and has been telling me how interesting it is. So I picked this series. I did not pick Harry Potter because I think it will be too hard for me.
When I turned in this reading log, Mrs. W was shocked and asked me, "SP, when did you start reading Lemony Snicket?" The whole class was staring at me.
Well, back to my reading log...

The Bad Beginning
By: Lemony Snicket
Number of pages: 162

1. Is this story fiction or non-fiction?
This story is fiction.

2. What is this story mainly about?
This story is mainly about the children who have bad things happen to them in their lives and Count Olaf tries to steal their fortune.

3. Did the setting change through out the story? Explain how and why?
Yes, the setting did change throughout the story - from the beach to Count Olaf's house to the bank to the theatre.

4. Did you expect the story to end the way it did? Explain
Yes, I did expect the story to end the way it did because it says Count Olaf is very smart and cunning.

5. Did you learn any new words? If so, list the words and use them in sentences.
I learned a lot of new words. Some of them are:
1. bustle: When you are late for work you bustle.
2. bulbous: Garlic is a bulbous plant.
3. outburst: At parades an outburst can happen.
4. abominable: The Baudelaire children had many abominable moments in their life.
5. literally: I literally kicked the ball.

Mrs. W's response:
Is this the first L. Snicket book you've read?

The Story of a Blue Bird

The Story of a Blue Bird
By: Tomek Bogacki
Number of pages: 17

1. Tell us about the first time you tried to do something. Tell what you did and how you felt.
The first time I rode my bike I felt scared because I thought I would fall off like a baby bird falling from its nest.

2. Use afraid, flew, join, learn, nothing, thought and wonder in sentences.

I was afraid to ride my bike.
A bird flew high in the air.
I want to join ice hockey.
When you go to school, you learn.
There is nothing in the bag.
I thought about the future.
I wonder how my reading log is?

3. Do the birds in the story act like real people? Give some examples.
Yes, the birds in the story do act like people because they talk, (p.24)

Mrs. W's response:

Good job! Great TTQA
